Pulse365 Performance Measurement Formula
Pulse365 is Pickleball365's performance measurement system designed to highlight the trends, patterns, and momentum in a player's game. It is not a rating and does not replace or compete with DUPR.
Pulse365 provides a complementary perspective by analyzing recent performance, match context, consistency, and readiness.
Pickleball365 is a proud DUPR Partner, and Pulse365 is designed to complement the DUPR rating system by focusing on performance measurement rather than player rating.
Pulse365 Measurement Components
The Pulse365 Measurement combines multiple key components to create a comprehensive picture of your recent performance:
Recent Play Quality
A measurement of how a player performs across their most recent matches, focusing on efficiency, scoring pressure, tempo, and momentum.
- • Recent win percentage — how well you've been playing recently
- • Consistency score — stability across matches
- • Match volume modifier — activity and frequency of play
Match Difficulty
A reflection of the competitive context of recent matches, based on the strength, experience, and diversity of opponents.
Pulse365 considers the overall stability of recent match history to understand performance patterns and contextualize the difficulty of your recent competition.
Performance Trajectory
A measurement of whether a player's trends suggest improvement, stabilization, or variability.
This component captures overperformance and underperformance relative to expectations, helping identify momentum shifts and performance patterns.
Consistency
An analysis of how stable or variable a player's game has been across recent matches.
This measurement helps identify whether performance is steady, improving, or showing variability that might indicate changes in form or readiness.
Readiness & Frequency
Assesses recency and frequency of play to help contextualize performance trends.
This component measures the environment around your matches—when, where, and how you played. Factors include:
- • Indoor vs outdoor
- • Tournament vs club match
- • New partner chemistry
- • Court surface
- • Fatigue index
- • Rivalries
- • Morning vs evening performance
- • Streaks
Situational Play Indicators
Examines how players perform in different contexts such as long rallies, tight points, comeback situations, and momentum swings.
This measurement helps identify patterns in how players respond to pressure, momentum shifts, and different match situations.
How Pulse365 Works
Pulse365 combines these measurement components to create a comprehensive view of your current performance momentum. The system normalizes the final measurement so that Pulse365 always stays stable, readable, and meaningful week to week.
Pulse365 measures how well you're playing right now by combining recent results, match difficulty, and performance patterns. It complements DUPR by tracking momentum—not skill rating.
